i'm never moving again!!!!

hey so it's been 82 years and i'm only really wanting to set thoughts free/think out loud. presently i'm working part time between 2 parishes, and it's p chill so far except i feel like i'm waiting for something to happen - not like, in any imposter syndrome sense but for things to get busier or more difficult, which it may anyway as eventually i'll be taking over financial tasks (ie. payments, recs) but at the moment i'm just like, ok, this is cool, this is chill, and so am i missing some big chunk of tasks??? i like to believe that it's a holdover from paralegal work, being non stop and full on, and there's never a point where you'll start or finish a day with a reasonable number of tasks.

so, i've got the swim teacher gig on the side but i'm starting to think i hit my max volume of sound/touch/visual capacity i'm able to handle and i know that the thing about capacity is that it's able to grow. HOWEVER, there is the audhd in consideration and so my conundrum is that: the kids are cute and fun, and i love teaching them, and it's a physical job. there's never going to be a shortage of work either, and the skills are transferrable to say OT, should i want to head down that path. with that said, my immune system is still in shambles and i've been some degree of sick since i started 3 weeks ago + audhd + also i think i'm somewhere in my recovery from burn out (ref: paralegal). there's also the fact i feel like i'm letting everyone down if i step away, but then it's also better to let them know now like 1 month in instead of 6 months, right? before i have my own classes and kids i'm actively building relationships with. i think maybe i'll proceed with the upcoming roster and see from there.

but i do already have one foot out the door regardless. i've had one interview for a book keeping role, and i had been concerned about how said interview went, primarily on an interpersonal level (being someone whose work history has been primarily for/with family), but the feedback was that 1) culturally and personally, they were very pleased but it was 2) they are going with those with more accounting background. so! i'm pleased, because at least i know that i'm not failing at interviews, it's a skill set thing.

i shot off a couple of lil tests for a text editor role, and i'm actually quite hoping for that because truth is i love sitting all hunched up at my desk and getting muddled up with grammar. i know that my spelling and homonym results are solid, that my typing is comfortably within what they're seeking and so really i'm just fretting over the example block of text i edited. hopefully i'll hear back next week with something positive, because that would be a good side gig that will log experience in editing!!!

i want to look more into copy writing except i'm also procrastinating hard (eg. this post) but if today i can drum two samples and apply for a copywriter pool, then, yknow, then i've done something.

the other thing i did today was enroll in an undergrad cert course for professional writing and publishing at curtin uni because why the hell not!!! and also because i'm avoiding having to clean up.

Goodbye hellyear! Won't be missing you! I want to say that I'm optimistic for 2022, but I can't bring myself to say that at all tbh. Gonna be grinding out another one I think. But anyway, so some resolutions:

- Pls purchase no more than two (2) books per month
- Work on manuscript. Have one completed by the end of the year???
- Read 40 books
- gywo pledge is 200k this yr so do that
